Introduction Self-Portrait Lesson Plan

The following lesson was created by my pre-internship partner Ms. Wallace and myself for our introductory lesson. Ms. Wallace and I wanted to ensure that each student was engaged in our introduction and had the freedom to create whatever they wanted.

Feel free to take this lesson and adapt it to your own context.

  1. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful introductory lesson. I especially liked the idea at the end to compile the students’ work into a class book. I automatically think of displaying student work on bulletin boards, but you provided me with another idea for what to do with students’ creations.
